About BG Capital
Established in 2000, BG Capital (formerly Galt & Taggart Securities) is the
wholly-owned investment arm of Bank of Georgia, with operations in key frontier markets,
including Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. We offer clients a full
range of investment services, including equity and fixed-income brokerage, research,
investment banking and asset management services.
Institutional backing from Bank of Georgia provides BG Capital with the ability to
interact closely with international investors, while our relationship with Bank of
Georgia Wealth Management gives us access to a broad range of products and a distribution
chain unmatched by other regional brokerages.
BG Capital is the only investment bank in the region with regularly reported IFRS
financials, the ability to trade directly on over 180 exchanges worldwide and offer a
full range of investment and corporate banking services. We transact directly on nearly
all of the world's leading stock exchanges, offer competitive rates, and guarantee quick
execution of large trades in global and local equities and Eurobonds.
An extensive regional network has propelled BG Capital to leading positions in its main countries of operation. BG Capital was named the Best Frontier Markets Investment Bank in Central and Eastern Europe in Euromoney's 2010 Awards for Excellence.
We are the largest investment bank by trading volume in Georgia with an 85% share of
the Georgian Stock Exchange, and in Belarus with a 33% share of the Belarusian Currency
and Stock Exchange's secondary market as of 2008. In 2008 BG Capital achieved a top-5
position by trading volume in Ukraine with an approximate 7-10% share of the Ukrainian
market.
In September 2009 Galt & Taggart Securities was renamed BG Capital.
